Earth Day 2013

Sweet planet Earth…we’ve come to help out.   

As well as help out the economy and the shareholders of Target. 

With a project to create a little more fresh oxygen, beautify our backyard, and for a bonus…keep this trio busy for at least 30 minutes. 
  
Ready, set, open your markers! 

 

When the pots were all decorated, it was time to get to planting!

Insert the little dirt block.
          
Add water and stir.

 
Add your seeds.

 
Try to put your food in it. 

 
Look at your masterpiece and wait for your pretty flowers to grow!

 
We watered our seeds diligently, checked on them everyday and gave them lots of sunshine. 

 
But something went wrong, and seeds didn’t make it.  It turns out my guess for the perfect water/sun/shade combo was not a good one.  

And then things got worse.
  
I guess we’ll just have to give our little horticulturists another try.     

Avery’s First Hair Cut

Some of sweet Avery’s hair was taking an unfair head start in the growing race.  And even though her precious 38 strands that were getting long and even taking on a little curl at the end were so adorable…I felt like we need to level the playing field. 

So off to getting her first little trim-a-roo we went. 

Just a little off the back.  

And a little off the sides.

With the best two hair cutting supporters out there…

Avery did awesome and looked wonderful with her new hair cut!

What about the kids?!?!

While Mark and I were off to San Antone…our precious trio were in grandbaby paradise! 

I think Lolly, Pappa Bud, Mamu and Popps gave our little ones the best four days of their lives!

As a side note, thanks to Lolly and Mamu, this precious girl has her own jammies and doesn’t have to wear the old ones from her brothers.
